Reportingtothe Principal Engineer ,youllcarryoutawiderangeofelectricaldesigntasksacrossindustrial,commercial,andpublicsectorprojects.

Thisincludesconceptanddetaileddesignduringpre - constructionandtenderstages,reviewing third - party drawings/specs,andcontributingtoPCSAsandinvestment
-grade proposals.

In addition,you' llmanageandsupportjuniorengineers,assigning tasks,reviewing work,andensuringprojectdeliverablesaremetontimeandwithinprogramme.

• Takesaholisticviewintheselectionandapplicationofengineeringconceptsandsolutions
• Represent Vital Energiattechnicalmeetingswithcustomers ,professionalteamsandcontractorteams
• Ensureengineeringcalculationsanddrawingsmeetrequiredrobustindustryandlegalstandards
• Workwithinmulti- disciplinaryworkwinningteamstodelivertechnicallycomplianttenders
• Leadonthecoordinationofengineeringservices
• Engageequipmentvendorsupplychaintoensureelectricalequipmentselectionsarevalidtechnically,specification compliant,valueformoneyandavailablewithinprogramme
• Haveanawarenessofcostimplicationswithindesign.
• Assistwitheffectivelydealingwithdesignissuesandminimisingtheirimpact.
• Abilitytodesignsystemsintheformofcalculations,equipmentselectionandprocessoperation.
• Liaisingwithexternaldesigners,customers and

  -houseprojectteams.
• Compliance with
  
  CDMrequirementsandourinin - housedesignprocesses.
• Abilitytodesignsystemsintheformofschematics,calculations,equipment selection,detaileddrawingsandprovideinputsforcontroloperatingstrategies.
• Ensuringcompliancewithlegislationandbestpracticewithcompanyprocedures.
• Takesaholisticviewintheselectionandapplicationofengineeringconceptsandsolutions

The Person:

• Thesuccessfulcandidateswillideallybequalifiedatdegreelevelorsimilar(HNC/HND),withaminimumofcirca3to5yearsrelevantexperienceworkingforaconsultancyoracontractor.
  
  Theindividualswillhave:
• Knowledge of
  
  MSofficeapplicationsword,excel
• Experience using Trimble Pro Design (Amtech)
• Soundknowledgeofelectricalbuildingservicesdesign
• Sound knowledge& workingapplicationofkeyhealthandsafetyissuesandlegislation.
• Chairing/facilitationofmeetingskills
