Location: Vinita, Oklahoma
KAMO Power is seeking a detail‑oriented Project Manager. This exempt position is responsible for overseeing the construction and major maintenance projects of KAMO facilities, including transmission substations, distribution substations, transmission lines, aerial and underground fiber‑optic cable, telecommunications towers, buildings, warehouses, and related facilities, as well as generating Environmental Reports (ERs) for RUS approval in compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) guidelines at our Vinita, Oklahoma facility.
The role plays a key part in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.
- Manage and oversee construction and major maintenance projects for transmission substations, distribution substations, transmission lines, including aerial and underground fiber‑optic cable, telecommunications towers, buildings, warehouses, and related facilities.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor project schedules, budgets, safety requirements, quality standards, and overall project performance from initiation through completion.
- Prepare Environmental Reports (ERs) and oversee environmental permitting in compliance with RUS National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) guidelines and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, internal departments, and construction crews while evaluating bids, resolving project issues, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Electrical Engineering degree preferred. Degree must be from an ABET accredited program. - Minimum of four (4) to nine (9) years of experience in the construction or utility industry, including at least two (2) years in Project Management or Construction Management.
- Intermediate knowledge of RUS construction and environmental compliance requirements, Project Management and Construction Management practices, electric utility industry standards, regulations, and best practices, transmission substations, transmission lines, telecommunications facilities, and related infrastructure.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
