To become more dynamic, customer-oriented, and future-oriented, we are transitioning the company from the ZEISS Group into an independent entity with an investor. The new entity will exclusively develop and distribute innovative optical products for hunters, birders, and outdoor enthusiasts under the ZEISS brand.
As a Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to actively shape our product portfolio in flat hierarchies and develop innovative solutions for our customers.
Your Role- Conceputing and developing new products and solutions in the Hunting & Nature sector
- Responsibility for the technical overall concept (optics, mechanics, electronics, software)
- Developing systems from the initial idea to market launch that optimally meet requirements while being economically viable
- Deriving architecture and specification from modeling, simulation, or experimentation
- Working in an interdisciplinary team as the interface between product management and development
- Coordination with internal, external, and international partners
- Ensuring function and manufacturability throughout the entire development process
- Analyzing new technologies for product development
- Observing competitive products (benchmarking, product analyses)
- Completed degree in physics, engineering, or a comparable field
- Doctorate or professional experience in the development of complex technical products is advantageous
- Good system understanding for opto-mechanical and digital systems
- In-depth technical knowledge in at least one of the areas of optics, mechanics, electronics, software, or image processing
- Ability to understand and structure technical connections across multiple disciplines
- Eagerness to quickly grasp new topics and creatively design technical solutions
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Lateral leadership skills in interdisciplinary teams
- Fluent communication skills in German and English
