Production Internship

Within the Powertrain Production Planning & Technology Center, we manage battery projects of our Mercedes-Benz brand and offer an internship in the production project management team.

We ensure efficient project management by controlling factors such as quality and deadlines, monitor the achievement of our project goals, identify areas for improvement, and initiate processes for problem-solving. Additionally, we ensure the impact of product changes on production processes (battery assembly) in a cross-departmental modular team and actively influence the product (e.g., through production-appropriate product design).

These challenges will come to you, among others:

• Participation in the project management of a battery project
• Support in the coordination and management of cross-departmental topics of the planning areas and production (assembly, logistics, quality, start-up factory, factory planning, etc.)
• Involvement in reporting and the preparation and follow-up of project committees, meetings, and workshops with the involved departments - creation of decision templates for the project management and higher management (using MS Office)
• Accompanying the optimization process and documenting technical processes for production systems
• Development of the project-wide knowledge base
• Identification of areas for the development of project work
• Full and independent processing of work packages and/or test assignments from the battery project

The activity can start in September 2026.

Qualifications:

• Degree in mechanical engineering, electric vehicles, automotive engineering, technology management, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
• Secure German and English language skills in speech and writing (German level at least C1 with proof)
• Secure handling of MS-Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Think-Cell - engagement, team capability, and communication skills
• Structured, independent, and reliable working method
• Engagement and enthusiasm for innovative topics
• First experiences in project management from extracurricular activities, clubs, or leisure time are desirable
