Your mission:

Within the MS&T (Manufacturing Science & Technology) department, and attached to the Semi-Solid Products Platform, the Process and Validation Engineer brings advanced technical expertise on manufacturing processes (strong knowledge of the operation of equipment and associated manufacturing processes), process validation, and cleaning of dermatological topical products.

He/she intervenes both in operational field support and in depth analysis, with a strong ability to take a step back, in order to optimize processes, solve complex problems, and contribute to industrial robustness in compliance with regulatory requirements.

All of this in close collaboration with stakeholders from different departments, including Quality, Logistics, and Development teams, as well as external suppliers.

• Provide industrial knowledge and technical expertise (development, industrialization, validation, outsourced products).
• Provide technical support on all products at the Alby site: process optimization, troubleshooting, compliance issues.
• Provide training and/or support to site resources in terms of process expertise, galenics, and methodology.

Your main responsibilities:

Process & Product Expertise

• Analyze, understand, and optimize the manufacturing processes of semi-solid products (creams, gels, ointments…)
• Intervene on issues combining processes, equipment, products (formulation, galenics)
• Bring a critical and structured view on process performance
• Ensure technical transfer and launch of new products: liaise between the client (external or internal client, process development) and operations. Be responsible for the scale-up and development of processes on the industrial tool
• In the context of the product lifecycle for assigned projects, ensure planning, coordination, implementation, control, and completion of projects in accordance with project management objectives

Cleaning & Validation

• First-level support in case of deviation related to cleaning
• Contribution to the validation activities of processes by providing expertise and knowledge of products/processes/equipment
• May be temporarily required to independently carry out validation activities in support of the existing team
• Ensure compliance with GMP, quality, and site requirements

Field Presence & Operational Support

• Ensure regular presence in production
• Accompany teams in understanding and mastering processes

Investigation & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct technical investigations (deviations, anomalies, CAPA)
