For Carl Zeiss Spectroscopy GmbH, we are looking for a Project Manager who brings both technical depth and project management expertise.
Your Role
You will take responsibility for challenging development projects in the field of Thin Film Measurement Systems – from the definition phase to the final series transition. You will combine technical expertise with professional project management. Your tasks include:
You will manage development projects end-to-end – including planning, coordination, manufacturing, and if necessary, delivery and testing with the customer.
You will conduct technical discussions at an equal level, clarify specifications, and understand the requirements in detail.
You will coordinate internal and external stakeholders (including development, manufacturing, service, key account management) and ensure a smooth process in all project phases.
You will reliably keep an eye on technical, economic, and time-related aspects and proactively manage projects.
You will bring experiences from the projects you have led into the further development of our product portfolio and support product management with strategic topics.
Your Profile
You have a completed degree in physics or engineering sciences – ideally with a focus on optics, photonics, or related technologies.
Several years of professional experience in technical project management; candidates with solid mid-level experience and a high technical learning curve are also welcome.
Practical experience in dealing with several complex interfaces and ideally also in the optical, micro-optical, spectroscopic, or generally technical environment, such as in the field of lasers or thin films.
A structured, forward-looking, and customer-oriented working style – even with frequently changing priorities.
Strong communication skills in German and English (B2–C1), both in technical and commercial contexts.
