Essential Responsibilities
- Monitors appearance of all facilities and service areas, ensuring cleanliness standards are high.
- Monitors staffing levels and schedule assignments, including breaks.
- Trains slot employees, providing knowledge and direction for their responsibilities.
- Monitors compliance with company, departmental and regulatory rules; provides training feedback and disciplinary action.
- Provides clear directives to employees to meet departmental standards and company goals.
- Exhibits sound decision‑making, motivates personnel, and demonstrates effective supervisory skills.
- Possesses detailed knowledge of slot machine types, functions, malfunctions and layout schedules.
- Maintains security of all games, money and employees.
- Builds long‑term relationships with customers and maintains rapport with slot players.
- Handles customer disputes to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Ensures performance reviews, disciplinary notices, and superior job performance notices are accurate and timely.
- Monitors employee performance, providing training and coaching as needed.
- Recommends improvements to increase departmental efficiency and business.
- Coordinates daily functions with support service departments.
- Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to the organization.
- Meets attendance guidelines and follows regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- Conducts performance reviews and recommends wage increases and promotions.
- Ensures safety and security protocols are followed.
- Handles employee complaints or grievances.
- Defines work plans and supervises staff performance regarding procedures, customer service and compliance.
- Maintains compliance with regulatory, internal controls and policies.
- Verifies and reviews jackpot transactions and complies with IRS and internal payout controls.
- Provides coaching and staff development, leading staff in proper performance of duties.
- Assists patrons, investigates complaints and provides resolution.
- Ensures service equipment is handled safely.
- Stays current on supervisory training in guest service, responsible gaming, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
- Must maneuver throughout casino areas.
- Must lift up to 40 pounds and perform repetitive bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting and gripping.
- Must stand and walk for extended periods and maintain a sense of urgency in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must tolerate second‑hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
- Must work a varied schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends and reasonable overtime.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- One year casino experience in Slot Operations.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Experience with guest contact and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of slot floor operations and casino rules, regulations and procedures.
- Familiarity with internal written and verbal codes/abbreviations.
- Professional appearance and grooming.
- Teamwork and ability to work cooperatively with co‑workers.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment for Indiana Gaming.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and to respond to visual and aural cues.
