Overview
First Fidelity Bank is seeking a Personal Banker to build meaningful, lasting relationships and provide exceptional service to new and existing clients. The Person al Banker will support clients in achieving their financial goals by resolving issues, engaging to understand financial needs, identifying solutions, and delivering products and services effectively. The role includes proactively identifying client needs and referring clients to additional lines of business that provide value.
Sales and service responsibilities include expanding existing relationships through profiling, proactively seeking lending opportunities, and closing loans. A thorough knowledge of First Fidelity Bank’s accounts and products, a genuine client focus, and a drive to find beneficial solutions for the client and the Bank are essential.
- Client Relations and Sales
- Create a memorable client experience by proactively building, maintaining, and growing relationships through various communication channels. Provide a superior level of service by identifying clients’ needs and recognizing opportunities to offer Bank products and services.
- Engage in professionally curious conversations with prospective and existing clients to uncover service opportunities. Ask questions to understand what is important to the client and how the Bank can help meet financial needs. Use a consultative approach while tailoring recommendations and solutions.
- Present options to clients about ways to make banking more beneficial, easy, and convenient while ensuring the client’s needs come first.
- Align client expectations with the Bank’s capabilities to achieve the desired outcome. In every interaction, look for ways to say “yes,” adapting to meet evolving client and community needs.
- Thoroughly explain product and account features, statements, and service charges in a manner clients can easily understand.
- Develop strong relationships with colleagues to introduce clients to specialists who can assist with specific financial needs.
- Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in response to client requests, inquiries, or problems. Resolve client service issues efficiently and in the client’s and Bank’s best interest.
- Teller Transactions
- As needed, open new accounts and assist with Teller transactions: cash handling, processing deposits and withdrawals, loan transactions, change orders, and cashier’s checks.
- Assist clients with questions on accounts and research to resolve problems.
- Accurately process transactions within defined authority. Maintain cash and coin supply in drawer, keeping currency and coin orderly.
- Verify deposit amounts, examine checks and other negotiable instruments, verify signatures and client balances on withdrawals. Enter transactions into Bank records via online terminal. Complete and record accurate documentation on large transactions.
- Balance drawer and coin vault daily, maintaining accuracy within defined standards.
- Other Duties
- Lead by example, exceeding the Bank’s Mission, Core Values, and Golden Rules of Service.
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
- Demonstrate good work habits, attendances, and adherence to procedures.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance at work is an essential function of the job.
- Experience Requirements
- A minimum of six months’ work experience providing customer service support or cash handling experience in financial services, retail sales, or another goal-oriented environment.
- Previous teller and sales experience preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of bank products and services.
- Education Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent required. Some college preferred.

- Strong organizational skills and high accuracy in all tasks.
- Proficient computer and technical skills, including bank software and branch capture equipment.

- Physical Requirements:
- May require long periods of standing or sitting.
- Ability to lift and carry cash drawers, coin bags, and boxes sometimes weighing over 25 pounds.
- May require long periods of typing and repetitive motion.
- May be required to work a flexible, rotating shift.
