POSITION SUMMARY

The Loan Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the Bank’s loan portfolio. This position performs detailed post-closing reviews of new, renewed, and modified loans to confirm completeness, accuracy, and adherence to credit approval, documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policy. The role serves as a key control function supporting sound lending operations and risk management.

Responsibilities are performed under limited supervision with contracted deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Review all new, renewed, and modified loans to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of loan terms, interest rates, payment schedules, maturities, and alignment with credit approval and collateral documentation.
  • Ensure loan data and documentation within loan servicing systems are accurate, complete, and in compliance with Bank policy, regulatory, and accounting requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of loan portfolio reports to identify, research, and resolve discrepancies or deficiencies.
  • Review and validate due diligence documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, including, entity documents, title work, UCC searches and filings, appraisals, flood determinations, and related items.
  • Verify that all required documentation and signatures are properly executed and maintained for closed loans.
  • Identify, document, track, and follow up on policy and compliance exceptions to ensure timely resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation and policy exception reporting for the Board of Directors.
  • Review complex commercial loan structures, including SBA loans, attorney-prepared documents, loan participations, and syndications.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the Bank’s credit policy, loan documentation standards, lending operations procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Assists other roles in Operations as needed.
  • Follows all policies and procedures for HIPAA, HiTECH, state and federal laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Skill/Ability

  • Strong knowledge of commercial lending practices and documentation.
  • Experience with complex commercial credits, including SBA, participations, or syndications preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to lending.
  • Proficient in loan servicing systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Equivalent Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent banking experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in loan operations, loan documentation, credit administration, or related banking function.
