Job Summary
At PwC, our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals.
In transaction services at PwC, you will provide strategic advice and support to clients in their mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Your work will include conducting due diligence, financial analysis, and managing the transaction process.
As an Associate, you will support the Advisory team with an emphasis on the development of deals and deals strategy for our clients. You will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. This will include financial analyses and modelling, due diligence exercises, valuations, and insolvency work to support client needs.
Responsibilities- Build, maintain, and utilize a network of client relationships (at the current level) and engage in community involvement with a willingness to travel if deemed necessary.
- Ensure compliance, risk management procedures, and quality standards are complied with throughout engagements.
- Participate in firm activities for social and professional development.
- Invite and provide evidence-based feedback in a timely and constructive manner.
- Validate data and analysis for accuracy and relevance.
- Keep up-to-date with technical developments for the business area.
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
- Good understanding of statistical modelling, decision modelling, and machine learning techniques such as regression, ANOVA, clustering, etc.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and applying creativity to solve complex problems.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills combined with experience in leveraging data analytics to drive insights and business decisions.
- Experience and familiarity with analytics and visualization tools such as SAS, SPSS, Tableau, Power BI, and analytical programming languages such as R, Python.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and manage an environment of rapid change and development, and lead others through this process.
- Readiness to learn and eagerness to grow, not only in technical but also in business acumen.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Minimum 1–2 years experience in a professional service firm with strong project experience in analytics, or 1 year analytics/research experience delivering analytics‑driven solutions for internal stakeholders.
- Minimum Bachelor degree preferably in quantitative fields such as Banking and Finance, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Accounting and Finance, and other related fields.
