Duties
* Plans, coordinates, and schedules academic training events, student classes, instructors, and resources.
* Plans, coordinates, and schedules unprogrammed events.
* Represents the section with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
* Uses varied and advanced functions of office automation software to create, format, modify, edit,and print a variety of documents and support office operations. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
* Disclosure of Political Appointments.
* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
* May be required to work other than normal duty hours to support the training mission.

Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, for the GS-1702, Education and Training Technician Series. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR CURRENT FEDERAL EMPLOYEES:
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level (or higher) in the Federal service which includes knowledge of an extensive body of rules, concepts, techniques, procedures, and operations of flying training programs to perform a wide variety of assignments involved in the development of academic training schedules for student classes which meet syllabus objectives.
Knowledge of the organization's operations and functions sufficient to evaluate information gathered from various sources and use basic analytical methods and techniques to determine adequacy of, or deficiencies in the scheduling function. Knowledge of the flying training program mission and objectives to perform assignments and resolve a wide range of issues using accepted practices. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations, retrieve and input data, and maintain accurate files.

I have successfully completed graduate level education in a field directly related to this position which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-05 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE:
