The Lead Polygraph Examiner is responsible for coordinating the administration of enhanced vetting and polygraph operations supporting a U.S. government-funded law enforcement capacity-building program. Acting as the senior examiner on the ground, this individual ensures every candidate is vetted in a timely, thorough, and compliant manner. The Lead Polygraph Examiner serves as the primary point of contact for the client on all planning, scheduling, and managerial matters related to in-country vetting operations.

Applicants for this position are subject to review and approval by the client prior to deployment.

This role demands exceptional operational leadership, deep polygraph expertise, and the ability to operate effectively in foreign environments. The ideal candidate is a seasoned international examiner who can direct a team, resolve complex issues on the ground, and represent UG Solutions and the client agency with professionalism at every level.

Key Responsibilities Program Coordination & Compliance
  • Direct and coordinate all polygraph and enhanced vetting operations conducted under the contract, ensuring full compliance with contract requirements and client agency standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client on all planning, scheduling, and managerial matters related to in-country vetting operations.
  • Assess the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed vetting schedules and identify the personnel, equipment, and logistical resources required to execute them.
Examination Oversight & Quality Control
  • Supervise assigned Polygraph Examiners, interpreters, and support personnel, ensuring adherence to polygraph standards and consistent reporting.
  • Review completed polygraph examinations for technical accuracy and completeness prior to submission to the client agency.
  • Conduct polygraph examinations personally as required to meet contract deliverables.
  • Advise UG Solutions leadership and the client on the implementation of new policies, procedures, and practices tailored to the operating environment.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
  • Prepare and deliver operational reports, after-action reviews, and ad hoc briefings as required by UG Solutions and the client.
  • Communicate risks, delays, and resource needs to UG Solutions leadership in advance of required-by dates.
  • Represent UG Solutions and the client in a manner consistent with the UG Code of Conduct in all interactions with host nation officials.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience with international polygraph programs, including coordinating, assessing, conducting, and managing successful polygraph operations in an international setting.
  • Graduate of an accredited professional polygraph and vetting training program, such as the American Polygraph Association (APA), the National Center for Credibility Assessment (NCCA), or a similar recognized institution.
  • Documented completion of a minimum of 500 NCCA-accredited Law Enforcement Pre-Employment Test (LEPET) polygraph examinations.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and conducting successful polygraph programs using simultaneous interpretation.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • No negative prior experience working with the Bureau of International Narcotic and Law Enforcement Affairs or comparable government entities, and never removed from any U.S. government mission or civilian policing activity.
  • U.S. citizen, with the ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance level required by the contract.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Proficiency in French, Spanish, or other regionally relevant languages.
  • Prior experience leading vetting or polygraph programs in support of U.S. Department of State, Department of Defense, or Department of Justice initiatives.
