Location: Albert

Duties
* Provide emergency services to the public by answering emergency 911 calls and responding with appropriate personnel and equipment.
* Provide initial incident command support until responding emergency units arrive on scene.
* Responsible for caller interrogation to determine the problem and the nature of the call.
* Identify nature of emergency, level of response required based on local protocols, and provide any additional information to the responding units.
* Monitor computerized fire alarm system and other alarm systems such as Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (IDIDS) alarm systems.
* Maintain an accurate status of all emergency response equipment and personnel to ensure prompt and accurate response.
* Operate Computer Aided Dispatching (CAD) system, telephones, radios, and station alert systems.
* Provide emergency medical dispatching assistance to callers with medical emergencies. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation - Secret Clearance required.
* Within 16 weeks from the date of employment, you will be required to demonstrate reasonable proficiency at locally established training guidelines on the use of E911, CAD, Land Mobile Radio (LMR), and station alerting software and equipment.
* Position is subject to shift work where the incumbent is required to work an alternate, rotating work schedule, which requires an uncommon tour of duty (including nights, weekends and holidays).
* Incumbent is required to work (mission essential) regardless of weather conditions or base closure and to report to the duty station at the regularly scheduled time.
* Incumbent may be required to wear a uniform.
* Incumbent must pass a pre-employment; fingerprint based criminal history investigation for any location that accesses Criminal Justice Information Systems.
* The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
* The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain certification in:
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Emergency Medical Dispatch based on the program standards at the location assigned.
* Incumbent must complete the Department of Defense Telecommunicator I and II or equivalent based on the program standards at the location assigned.
* Incumbent must complete State National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification based on assigned location.
* Incumbent must complete the National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS 100,300, 700, 800, and 907 courses.
* The incumbent is responsible for attaining continuing dispatch education (CDE) requirements through in-service training that is offered locally and pass in accordance with predetermined course requirements.
* Pre-employment vision and hearing screenings are required.
* Travel Duty may be required up to 5% of the time.
