  • We provide targeted expertise to strengthen our partners’ response.
  • We collaborate with partners to develop solutions to un‑met gaps and challenges.

In line with our strategy, NORCAP is developing an Emergency Response Rosterconsistingofhighly experienced, field-oriented specialists who can deploy rapidly to complex emergencies and provide operational surge support, normally for3–6 months.

The rosteris designed to providetimelyhumanitariansurgesupport to UN agencies responding to sudden onset crises and humanitarian emergencies.

Specialists in the rosterwillprovide complementary, sequenced, support at countryandfield level in crises, based onidentifiedoperational needs.

Key characteristics ofthe specialists in the Emergency Response Roster:

  • Ready to deploy within ≤14 days
  • General good health and abletooperatein complex and high-risk environments
  • Have extensive experience from UN or inter-agency operations
  • Contributetooperational impact at country and field level.
  • Be flexible and agile

The Information Management Specialist will provide technical and coordination support for humanitarian information management at country and sub-national level in sudden-onset and complex emergencies by strengthening information management systems, supporting analysis and evidence-based decision-making, and ensuring that relevant, timely and actionable information is available to response actors.

They will support partners and humanitarian coordination structures to establish, strengthen and maintain effective information management systems during emergency responses. They work across UN agencies, government counterparts, national and international NGOs, clusters/sectors, inter-agency coordination mechanisms and other relevant response actors.
