Position SummaryProvides pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling customers on health care and prescription medication needs, and maintaining confidential information and controlled medication documentation.
Responsibilities- Provide pharmaceutical care to customers: process and accurately dispense prescription orders; counsel on healthcare and medication needs; maintain confidential information and controlled medication documentation.
- Demonstrate up‑to‑date expertise and apply it to develop, execute, and improve action plans; provide expert advice and guidance to others; support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs; build commitment.
- Support implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identify business needs; determine and carry out necessary processes; monitor progress and results; capitalize on improvement opportunities; adapt to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
- Enforce compliance and provide direction and guidance to associates on customer service approaches; resolve complaints and issues within company guidelines and standards.
- Model compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; incorporate open‑door policy; assist others in applying these standards in business plans and processes.
- Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned areas: analyze and interpret reports; implement and monitor loss prevention and safety controls; oversee safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews; develop and implement action plans; provide guidance on company programs and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain confidential information documentation and assigned records as required by company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Provide comprehensive patient care: process and accurately dispense prescription orders; administer immunizations; administer other programs developed by Walmart in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations.
- Quality Patient Care Facility responsibilities—create a culture of patient care safety and accuracy; communicate clear expectations regarding quality of care and patient safety; ensure adherence to SOPs and quality and safety goals; ensure counseling is provided per state regulations; analyze and identify improvement areas and implement interventions; promote reporting and transparency of errors; write root‑cause action plans.
- Compliance‑Focused Execution Facility responsibilities—create and foster a compliance‑centric environment; communicate, train, and guide personnel on compliance initiatives; implement and monitor compliance actions; ensure billing procedures, HIPAA compliance, and SOPs are executed; use auditing to identify issues and drive improvement.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or equivalent FPGE (NABP).
- Pharmacy license (by job entry date).
- Completion of an ACPE‑Accredited Immunization training program (e.g., APhA, pharmacy school curriculum, state pharmacy association sponsored).
