Facilitatesthelearningofskillsandfunctionsessential to regaining physical ormental capabilities orsuccessfully adjusting to physical and/or mental disabilities

This facility expects its associates to promote an atmosphere of teamwork with other associates and hospitality and comfort for its residents. Therefore, the following list of duties is not all inclusive:

• Assistinplanning,organizes,andconductsoccupationaltherapy programsunderthedirectguidanceofaregistered Occupational Therapist.
• Treatsand/orassistsintreatment,advisement, andeducationofpatients and families as appropriate to specific physical, mental, and/or developmental disabilities.
• Monitorspatientprogressthroughouttreatment;preparesandmaintains records and reports as appropriate, ensuring adherence toprocedural safeguards and confidentiality requirements.
• Maintainconfidentialityofresidentandfacilityrecords/information
• Protectresidentsfromneglect,mistreatment,andabuse

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Organizedanddetailedinworkperformance.
• Goodcommunicationskillswithexcellentself-disciplineandpatience.
