We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join a school-based team serving students in an educational setting. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced professionals and new graduates looking to begin a rewarding career supporting student success.

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help students develop the skills necessary to participate successfully in educational activities and daily school routines. The OTA provides direct therapy services, supports individualized treatment plans, and collaborates with educational teams to promote student growth and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs.
  • Support students in developing skills related to handwriting, fine motor coordination, sensory regulation, visual‑motor integration, and self‑care activities.
  • Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in accordance with district, state, and professional requirements.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and related service providers to support student achievement.
  • Assist in monitoring student progress and communicating observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as appropriate.
  • Prepare therapy materials and maintain therapy equipment and supplies.
  • Follow all district policies, state regulations, and professional standards of practice.
Qualifications Required
  • Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Active Oklahoma Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
  • Previous school‑based or pediatric experience.
  • Knowledge of special education services and the IEP process.
