Position: Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract
Location: Purcell

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active Occupational Therapy state license required at time of submission and to start the assignment.
  • Minimum 1 year of OT experience required.
  • Experience in long term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings is required.
  • New graduates considered only if they have Level II fieldwork experience (not solely Level I observation).
  • Resume required at time of submission.
  • Skills checklist within one year required.
  • 0-1 professional reference required at time of submission.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC preferred.
  • Experience supervising OT assistants, rehabilitation aides, or students preferred.
Assignment Details
  • Shift: 8 hour days, 35 GWW.
  • Weekend requirement:
    None.
  • May be required to obtain necessary DME or supplies as part of practice requirements.
  • Must document treatment minutes and regulatory information in the electronic documentation system per facility policy.

Impacting Patient Care
  • Provide thorough evaluations using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care focused on ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device training.
  • Monitor progress, adjust treatments, and communicate outcomes with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings.
  • Provide comprehensive discharge summaries and ensure compliance with NBCOT and state practice acts.
