Clinic Manager Position Summary The Medical Assistant/Nurse Aide/Certified Medication Aide provides clinical support to physicians and nursing staff while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in the outpatient clinic setting. This position is responsible for preparing patients for examination, assisting with clinical procedures, performing diagnostic testing, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. This role contributes to safe, efficient clinic operations while supporting quality patient outcomes and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current BLS Certification (Must obtain within 90 days of hire, training provided)
Completion of a Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Medication Aide program or equivalent clinical training preferred.
Previous experience working in an out-patient healthcare setting preferred.
Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
Key Responsibilities Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area compliant with infection control standards
Prepare patients by obtaining medical histories, vital signs, physical measurements, assess patient needs and reports findings to the provider.
Receive, verify, and carry out physician orders within scope of practice.
According to certification or licensure administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the provider and document administration accurately.
Collect blood, urine, and other specimens while ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and handling for laboratory testing.
Perform routine testing and assist with clinical procedures as directed by the provider.
Coordinate referrals, and required documentation in a timely manner.
Review, file, and maintain laboratory, imaging, and provider reports within the patient's medical record.
Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, procedures, and healthcare instructions as directed by the provider.
Return patient phone calls promptly and communicate test results, instructions, and follow-up information as directed.
Maintain exam rooms, medical equipment, and clinical instruments by cleaning, disinfecting, and preparing supplies according to infection prevention standards.
Monitor stock of medical supplies, medications, and equipment to verify inventory.
Complete accurate required forms, records, and documentation in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with hospital accreditation standards, including utilization of SQSS (Strategic Quality Support System) for compliance tracking.
Adhere to all hospital policy and procedure, follow HIPAA guidelines, available for duty in the event of a disaster, completes all required educational training and performs other job duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements Frequent standing and walking throughout clinical areas for extended periods.
Ability to assist with lifting, repositioning, transferring, or supporting patients.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling while performing clinical tasks.
Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate medical equipment, and document care.
Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Ability to visually read medical charts and operate clinical technology.
Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.

Potential Hazards Exposure to hospital-related hazards including blood-borne pathogens, bodily fluids, infectious diseases, x-ray/electromagnetic energy, electric shock, and chemicals.
