Position Overview
As a Mental Health Technician, you will assist in creating a safe, supportive environment for patients, ensuring that they receive the care they need while engaging in therapeutic activities. You will be instrumental in promoting wellness and safety, helping to de‑escalate difficult situations, and serving as a role model.
Work SchedulePrimary working hours are 10‑hour shifts k four days a week, with shifts available on NOC (09:30p.m.–08:00a.m.) or EVE (03:30p.m.–02:00a.m.). The agency requires 24‑hour coverage, seven days per week, and employees may be required to work weekends and overtime. Reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities may be provided upon request.
Qualifications- Level I: hourly rate $15.10 – requires no prior experience.
- Level II: hourly rate $16.28 – requires one year of patient‑care experience.
- Level III: hourly rate $17.59 – requires two years of patient‑care experience.
- Preference may be given to candidates with CNA certification.
- Must possess a strong commitment to patient well‑being and safety.
- Must believe that recovery is possible.
- Upon offer, a negative drug test is required for safety‑sensitive positions.
- Provide direct and indirect care to patients individually and in groups.
- Participate in de‑escalation efforts to maintain safety.
- Serve as a positive role model with problem‑solving, decision‑making, and coping skills.
