OverviewWe are seeking a full-time Recovery Specialist to join the Residential Services Recovery Team at the Aalhakoffichi Adolescent Transitional Living Facility, working 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Responsibilities- Ensures key elements of facility and resident security and safety during assigned shifts
- Keeps all program keys in your possession at all times
- Performs periodic checks throughout the premises
- Keeps all rooms not in use locked
- Provide crisis intervention and referral information for incoming phone calls
- Answer the phone, transfer calls, take messages and screen calls per guidelines for areas served
- Monitor and maintain proper documentation of medications being taken by the residents
- Transport Chickasaw citizens and other First Americans to and from appointments, meetings, and activities as needed
- Supervise daily life skills of the individuals served
- Maintain required documentation of services provided including progress notes, case management documentation and other written monthly reports and documentation as requested by supervisor(s) in an electronic record
- Develop and maintain documentation as appropriate — files, logs, records, reports, etc.
- Monitor daily inventory and maintain inventory levels
- Participate in meetings to ensure effective communication with staff, peers, supervisors and management
- Provide first-class customer service to both internal and external customers and respond to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
- Complete all training and development requirements and participate in continuing education opportunities
- Work in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure a safe environment
- Maintain and promote professionalism
- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
- Adhere to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
- Maintain knowledge of and follow all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for the assigned area
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Essential:

- Able to follow instructions, both written and oral
- Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all matters
- Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability
- Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines
- Knowledge of crisis evaluation and de-escalation tactics
- Must have empathetic understanding of common social problems (e.g., addictions, mental health problems, domestic violence, sexual assault, etc.)
- Must have a helping attitude and understanding of problems within a family-oriented framework
- Knowledge and understanding of First American populations
- Ability to remain calm under stress
- Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management
- Writes effective communications with team, departments, guests and management
- Basic Computer skills
- Must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Demonstrates strong self-management skills, including maintaining a healthy work-life balance to ensure quality customer service
- No prior experience required
- Essential:
High School, GED or Equivalent - Nonessential:
Bachelors Degree in directly related field
- Essential:
Must be 21 years of age or older - Pass general background check
- Standard Driver's License
- Mental health treatment facility
- Mix of office/non-office settings
- May be required to de-escalate argumentative, hostile or similar situations
- May be required to assist individuals who are under the influence
- Sometime bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach
- Use computer up to 25% of shift
- Sometime lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs
- Sitting up to 50% of shift
- Standing up to 50% of shift
- Walking up to 50% of shift
- May work holidays
- May work rotating shifts
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Must not have charges or arrests for substance abuse related offenses within the past two years
