Job Summary:
Provide skilled physical therapy assistance to outpatient orthopedic patients, including young athletes, post-operative individuals, and those with balance and debility issues. Support patient recovery through targeted therapeutic interventions under the supervision of licensed therapists.
Responsibilities:- Assist in implementing patient treatment plans centered on orthopedic rehabilitation, balance, and functional mobility.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting interventions as directed by supervising therapists.
- Engage patients in therapeutic exercises designed to improve strength, balance, and mobility.
- Prepare treatment areas and maintain equipment to ensure a safe and effective environment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Hold an active Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification.
- Demonstrate at least 1 year of experience working with orthopedic populations and related therapies.
- Possess competency in treating young athletes, post-operative, and fall recovery patients.
- Exhibit proficiency in charting, preferably with Meditech software.
- Be capable of working independently in an outpatient setting with a 1:1 patient to therapist ratio.
