Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to support accurate and compassionate front-end registration for hospital and physician services. In this role, you will greet patients, complete registration and pre-registration, verify insurance and benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and collect point-of-service payments. You'll use EHR and registration systems to ensure clean claims and reduce denials while educating patients on financial responsibilities.

Working in a mission-driven, collaborative environment, you'll partner with clinical and revenue cycle teams to improve patient financial experiences and overall revenue performance.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients for hospital and physician services with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility and obtain required prior authorizations.
  • Collect and post point-of-service payments, copays, and deposits while following cash-handling procedures.
  • Perform pre-registration and scheduling, confirming demographics and financial information.
  • Explain patient financial responsibilities, estimates, and payment options to support a positive experience.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies for patient privacy and data security.
  • Use EHR and registration systems to create clean accounts that support timely, accurate billing and reduce denials.
  • Collaborate with clinical, billing, and revenue cycle teams to resolve registration and insurance issues.
  • Identify and escalate complex financial or coverage questions to appropriate team members.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in access workflows and patient financial experience.
