Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

The Speech-Language Pathologist will effectively screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. The therapist will develop appropriate plans of care while adhering to all regulatory and clinical practice standards.

• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments in the clinical record according to regulatory and clinical requirements.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness, modifying services as necessary and making referrals based on outcomes.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and service providers regarding speech disorders.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members about patient progress and treatment plans.
• Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records in accordance with company policy.
• Participate in necessary meetings, including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists.

• Minimum of 1 year of SLP experience.
• LTC or Rehab experience.
• Oklahoma State License.
• CCC certified SLP.
• New graduates acceptable if they have a Level II experience.

This position requires an 8-hour day shift.
