Seasonal Events Assistant – Sequoyah State Park Lodge

Under supervision of the Events Manager, the Events Assistant will set up and maintain all meeting rooms for group business at a state lodge with 100 rooms or more.

The position includes event set‑up, general housekeeping, and audio‑visual support during events.

• Complete event set‑up for groups by arranging tables, chairs, linens, and stage building.
• Set‑up stage equipment, outdoor set‑up, and A/V equipment as needed.
• Respond to guest needs during events, including housekeeping, additional set‑up, linen services, and audio‑visual equipment assistance.
• Perform general housekeeping in meeting rooms, including sweeping, mopping, trash maintenance, and linen services.
• Deep clean meeting spaces when not in use.
• Perform related work as required and assigned.

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow setup instructions.
• Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must work holidays, evenings, and weekends to accommodate event schedules.
