DescriptionEssential Functions and Responsibilities:
Thoroughly clean all assigned areas within prescribed standard guidelines. Properly and safely use authorized cleaning agents. Maintain inventory of all items placed in the spa. Maintain and rotate an adequate supply of clean linens and towels. Appropriately dispense towels, robes, slippers, and refreshments to guests. Keep all areas of the spa, including storage areas clean and organized. Assist spa manager in the monthly linen and towel inventory.
Report any damaged or missing items and maintenance repair needs to the spa supervisor. Help ensure facility is accessed only by Downstream Casino Resort guests and that it is safe and secure at all times. Acknowledge and greet everyone who enters and leaves the spa facility. Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention. Effectively ensure proper operation of equipment, involving proper usage and storage of all chemicals and maintain cleanliness of deck surfaces. Provide exceptional guest service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
Meet attendance guidelines of position and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Attend all necessary training meetings. Assist in other projects, as directed. Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations pertaining to this position are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule. Qualifications/Requirements:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment. High school diploma or its equivalent preferred. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance. Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues. Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, team members and customers. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and team members.
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. Must be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license. Must work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screen.

Must have the physical ability to work in extreme weather. Must be able to lift 80 lbs.,
to squat, stand or bend repeatedly. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust. Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino. Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment, and effectively deal with guests, management, team members, and members of the business community in all situations.
