Position Summary
System One has partnered with a local organization to assist them in their search for an HR Generalist. The HR Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department and plays a key role in ensuring effective HR practices across the organization. This position is responsible for a broad range of HR functions including onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, payroll coordination, recruiting, and compliance.
The HR Generalist works collaboratively with leadership and employees to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and a team-oriented culture.
- Administer onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, background checks, and drug screenings
- Maintain accurate employee records through routine filing, scanning, and archiving in compliance with record retention requirements
- Update employee changes in the payroll system to support accurate bi-weekly payroll processing
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions
- Prepare and conduct new employee orientations
- Serve as a resource to supervisors and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and consistent corrective action practices
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including enrollments, terminations, and coordination with third-party vendors
- Reconcile monthly benefit premium payments and ensure proper invoice approvals
- Coordinate benefit-related activities such as open enrollment meetings, flu shots, and maintenance of benefit materials
- Track and report ACA compliance using designated platforms
- Support the implementation and administration of HR programs and initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- 3–5 years of experience in HR administration or a similar human resources role
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow and interpret both simple and complex written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Ability to recognize non-routine HR matters and elevate appropriately

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
