Overview
Company Name: IG US Holdings, Inc. Role: HR Generalist Intern.
Location:
Chicago, IL. Compensation: $20/hr expected
Hours:
40 hr/week. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to support our Human Resources team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional HR environment. The intern will assist with a variety of HR functions, with a particular focus on data management and organizational tasks, while also contributing to day-to-day HR operations.
You’ll Do
- HR Data Management – organize HR records and files in SharePoint to create a robust HR data center
- HR Data Analytics – Assist with developing HR reporting and analytics for various teams
- Background Check Vendor Implementation – Assist with setting up a new background checking vendor and developing SOPs for users
- Support day-to-day HR activities
- Help coordinate HR programs, events, and initiatives as needed
- Respond to general HR inquiries and route requests to the appropriate team members
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
- A desire to build a career in Human Resources, People Operations, or Talent Acquisition within a high-performance corporate environment
- You are someone who lives by your calendar and to-do lists; you enjoy keeping things on track and organized
- You are a dependable team player who follows through on tasks and isn't afraid to ask for clarification to get the job done right
- You have clear written and verbal communication skills and can represent the HR team professionally to your peers
- You understand the sensitive nature of HR work and can be trusted to handle confidential information with the utmost maturity
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Power Point
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday) is a bonus but not required
