On-Site Service Engineer – AI Data Center
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (On-call required)
Overview:
The On-Site Service Engineer will provide hands-on support for data center and server environments, including next-generation AI platforms. This role focuses on maintaining uptime, resolving hardware issues, and delivering high-quality on-site technical support.
Responsibilities:
Provide onsite support for server and data center systems.
Perform hardware maintenance including builds, swaps, replacements, and firmware updates.
Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and operating system issues.
Execute preventive and reactive maintenance activities.
Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve issues.
Document all work and maintain accurate service records.
Participate in on-call rotation and support extended hours as needed.
Requirements:
3–5+ years of experience in data center, field service, or technical support roles.
Hands-on experience with server hardware (CPU, memory, power supplies, GPUs, etc.).
Experience with server deployments and component replacements.
Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred:
Experience with water-cooled servers.
Vendor certifications (Dell or similar).
Experience building PCs.
Additional Requirements:
Must reside within a 45-minute commute of the work location.
Must be willing to work on-site, shifts, and on-call as required.
Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
