Job Title: SMB Cybersecurity Specialist
Location: Remote (with occasional on-site client visits)
Salary: $70,000–$90,000 base + bonuses

What You’ll Do

You’ll be the go-to expert for cybersecurity in small business environments. From monitoring threats to guiding clients on compliance, your role is to make security easy to understand and effective in action.

Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts in SMB environments.

Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint protection, firewalls, and MFA solutions.

Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to reduce vulnerabilities.

Investigate security incidents, document findings, and support remediation.

Help clients stay compliant with requirements like HIPAA, PCI DSS, and FTC guidelines.

Stay on top of the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and trends in SMB security.

Partner with our helpdesk and engineering teams to secure client networks.

Educate clients in plain language—no jargon, just practical advice.

Contribute ideas to make Cybrogen

IT’s security offerings even stronger.

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience (MSP or SMB focus preferred).

Strong understanding of firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM, and vulnerability management.

Familiarity with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI DSS, NIST, CCPA, FTC).

Ability to investigate incidents and clearly explain risks and solutions.

Someone who speaks boldly, owns the outcome, and genuinely cares about people.

Curiosity and willingness to keep learning—security changes fast.

Certifications like Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus but not required.
