Position: 2026-2027: Student Device Manager: District
Location: Mustang

IT Support Technician

School Year

Qualifications:

High school diploma, experience with PC computers, Chrome OS, Chromebook repair, iPad repair, knowledge of Apple iOS, MAC OS, iOS MDM Management, Google Admin Console, and some knowledge of network systems. Basic fundamentals of networking terminology. Knowledge of Active Directory Structure. Support specialized training may substitute for some work experience. Experience in school district technology infrastructure of no less than 2 years preferred.

Reports:
Executive Director of Technology

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with various clients (i.e. teachers, custodians, administration) to gather information to help troubleshoot issues for student devices
  • Troubleshoot and solve computer hardware and software issues for student devices
  • Install special hardware and software programs for student devices
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of other peripheral hardware that is supported by district for student devices
  • Installation and setup of student computers
  • Assist with training on new hardware and software when needed.
  • Assist with upgrading and installing wireless and networking equipment in relations to student devices.
  • Maintain records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence relative to student devices as needed.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or deemed necessary

Terms of Employment:
Number of days and compensation based on Board approved support personnel salary schedule and the employee work calendars. 8 Hours—240 Days

Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Executive Director of Technology.

Work Environment:
Works at sites in classrooms and other instructional areas. Must travel to and from assigned facilities as needed for support work.

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently. Ability to go up and down ladders. Ability to squat or work on knees occasionally.
