Associate Account Manager
We have an exciting new opportunity for an Associate Account Manager in our Commercial Lines Department at Tedford Insurance. This role works closely with Agents and Account Managers and functions as an assistant while delegating more complex tasks.
Primary responsibilities include providing professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and coworkers, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations. Additionally, the role involves providing clerical support, including scanning, filing, and handling correspondence as needed. Routine account-related tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and policy updates are also part of the job.
Communication with internal team members and insurance carriers to ensure timely processing of documentation and client requests is essential. Supporting Account Managers with special projects or tasks as assigned is also required. Participation in training programs to develop insurance knowledge, customer service skills, and account management capabilities is encouraged. Attending industry-related continuing education training and courses is also part of the role.
Other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization may be necessary.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include exceptional verbal and written communication skills, the ability to manage account-related projects, proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency in typing and data entry, the ability to manage duties and meet deadlines with limited supervision, and exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
Education, licenses, and experience required include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, experience in a commercial P&C insurance agency preferred, and a current Oklahoma P&C insurance license.
