SummaryTransports chickens from broiler farms to the plants by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Drive a truck to transport chickens from the broiler farms to the plants.
- Picks up chickens at the farms.
- Delivers chickens to live haul.
- Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
- Binds and unbinds cages.
- Must comply with all DOT and State driver training and documentation requirements.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – must have a Class‑A CDL Driver's License; must have no major driving violations and be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test.
- Physical Demands – regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; frequently required to reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Work Environment – frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions; noise level usually moderate.
