Haul Truck Driver Dept Heavener

Transports chickens from broiler farms to the plants by performing the following duties.

• Drive a truck to transport chickens from the broiler farms to the plants.
• Picks up chickens at the farms.
• Delivers chickens to live haul.
• Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
• Binds and unbinds cages.
• Must comply with all DOT and State driver training and documentation requirements.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Education and/ or Experience – high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years of verifiable driving experience.
• Language Skills – ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Mathematical Skills – ability to calculate hours of service, complete log book pages, and report hours worked.
• Reasoning Ability – ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – must have a Class‑A CDL Driver's License; must have no major driving violations and be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test.
• Physical Demands – regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; frequently required to reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Work Environment – frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions; noise level usually moderate.
