The Shop Cleaner / 5S Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization and safety in the shop floor area according to 5S principles (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain). This position plays a critical role in supporting a clean and efficient work environment to improve productivity and reduce workplace hazards.

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and removing trash from shop floors, break rooms, restrooms and offices as needed.
• Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials to ensure compliance with 5S standards.
• Restock cleaning and janitorial supplies as needed.
• Conduct routine 5S audits and assist teams in correcting non-compliance areas.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying areas for better organization or cleanliness.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums and power washers.
• Dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines.
• Report on maintenance needs or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Work independently or with team members to always ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Regular attendance, punctuality, on-site work, and ability to work overtime.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and to interact respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
• Ability to load trucks and perform multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Good communication skills and a proactive attitude toward the workplace.

• Previous industrial cleaning experience is a plus. Basic understanding of 5S methodology or willingness to learn.
