Compensation & Benefits

Housekeeping/Custodial Worker II salary $26,650.00 ($12.81 hourly)

Shift differential: $0.87 hour for hours on evening and night shifts (does not apply for leave used).

Retirement

  • Pathfinder is a 401k with 3 plan choices.
  • Standard: 4.5% we put in 6%
  • High: 7% we put in 7%
  • Customized – you may contribute over 4.5% or 7%. We match 6% for 7%.
  • You vest 20% each year: 1 year - 20% vested, 2 years - 40%, 3 years - 60%, 4 years - 80%, 5+ years - 100%.

Longevity Bonus

  • Begins after 2 years; first payment in 2nd anniversary pay period.
  • Increases every 2 years: $250.00 up to 4 years, then $426.00 at 4-6 years, $626.00 at 6-8 years, $850.00 at 8-10 years, $1,062.00 at 10-12 years, $1,250.00 at 12-14 years, $1,500.00 at 14-16 years, $1,688.00 at 16-18 years, $1,900.00 at 18-20 years, $2,000.00 at 20+ years, with $200 added for each additional 2 years beyond 20.

Paid Time Off

  • Annual leave: 1-5 years – 15 days (15 days possible).
  • 5-10 years – 18 days.
  • 10-20 years – 20 days.
  • 20+ years – 25 days.

Sick Leave: 15 days possible.

Maximum Accruals and Payouts

  • 0 to 5 years:
    Accrual 360 hrs, Payout 240 hrs.
  • 5 to 10 years:
    Accrual 784 hrs, Payout 640 hrs.
  • 10 to 20 years:
    Accrual 800 hrs, Payout 640 hrs.
  • >20 years:
    Accrual 840 hrs, Payout 640 hrs.

Holiday Leave: 11 holidays accrued yearly; use within 6 months.

Admin Weather Leave:
Up to 8 hrs per day / 32 hrs total for inclement weather (use within 6 months).

Military Leave: 30 days (240 hrs) pay within fiscal year starting Oct 1.

Job Description

Basic Purpose

Positions involve care and cleaning of a state institution/public building or supervision of employees performing these duties.

Typical Functions
  • Sweeps, dusts, mops, scrubs, washes, vacuums, waxes, and polishes building floors, walls, woodwork, windows, furniture, equipment, and hardware.
  • Cleans and sanitizes laboratories, washrooms, and bedrooms; supplies paper, towels, soap.
  • Collects and disposes of trash and garbage; moves equipment/furniture.
  • Performs sanitary inspections for infection control.
  • Replaces and removes contaminated sharps/soiled dressings.
  • Orders/distributes custodial supplies; maintains inventory.
  • Observes/reports safety violations; participates in emergencies.
  • Assists in training lower level workers.
  • Plans, assigns, and supervises housekeeping department functions.
  • Inspects quarters for maintenance standards.
  • Supervises and maintains records of furnishings distribution.
  • Maintains records; prepares reports.
  • Establishes standards; assists with policy planning; prepares budget request.
Level Descriptor

Full performance of custodial duties; may include hazardous material disposal.

Education and Experience

Six months experience in building/institutional custodial work or equivalent education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment; proper disposal procedures for waste/quarantined items; chemical safety.

Ability to follow oral/written instructions.

Skill to operate custodial equipment.

Special Requirements

Some agencies may designate this role as safety sensitive per 63 O.S. 427.8.
