Operations | General Manager Restaurant, Bar & Event Experience Venue Position SummaryThis position oversees all daily operations of a hospitality and entertainment venue including restaurant, bars, private event spaces, and interactive guest experiences.
This role drives operational excellence, financial performance, team development, and guest satisfaction while fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
- Lead daily operations across food & beverage, events & guest experience areas
- Manage payroll, labor control, budgets, and financial reporting
- Oversee inventory systems, purchasing, and cost controls
- Build, develop and mentor a strong management team
- Create a positive, motivating workplace culture
- Drive revenue growth through smart marketing and guest engagement
- COGS and inventory variance management
- Guest satisfaction & online reviews
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
- MBA or advanced business coursework considered a strong advantage
- Equivalent combination of education and 7+ years of progressive senior-level leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or experience-based venue will be considered
- Formal training in financial management, organizational leadership, or operational systems highly valued
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive management experience
, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role (General Manager, Director of Operations, or equivalent) - Demonstrated success overseeing multi-revenue operations including restaurant, bar, and event-driven programming
- Direct responsibility for full P&L ownership, including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning input, and variance analysis
- Experience managing leadership teams across departments (culinary, bar, events, facilities, marketing, and administration)
- Proven track record of stabilizing operations, implementing structure, and driving measurable financial performance improvements
- Experience reporting to ownership groups, investors, or board-level stakeholders
- Strong financial acumen with ability to:
- Interpret and present monthly financial statements
- Manage prime cost and labor within established benchmarks
- Forecast revenue and cash flow
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actio
- Experience participating in annual budget development and capital expenditure planning
- Demonstrated ability to protect asset integrity, manage risk exposure, and enforce internal controls
- Inventory and cost-control expertise (food, beverage, and event-driven revenue streams)
- Ability to implement scalable SOPs, accountability systems, and performance metrics across departments
- Proficiency in POS systems, payroll platforms, inventory management software
- Current Serv Safe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Valid ABLE liquor license certification (Oklahoma) or ability to obtain
- Alcohol compliance training (TIPS or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal labor laws and alcohol regulations
- Experience conducting internal investigations and managing sensitive HR matters with discretion
- Commitment to ethical leadership, regulatory compliance, and brand reputation protection
- Visible, floor-driven leader who sets performance expectations through engagement and accountability
- Ability to mentor and develop department managers into operational leaders
- Skilled in conflict resolution, performance management, and cultural stabilization
- Strategic thinker capable of aligning day-to-day execution with long-term financial and ownership goals
- Confident communicator comfortable presenting performance updates, operational challenges, and strategic plans for ownership and executive leadership
