Job OverviewAs Community Manager, you will supervise community staff, manage recruitment, onboarding, performance, and conduct regular reviews while ensuring the property performs in line with market and budget goals.
Responsibilities- Motivate associates through recognition programs, training, and team building.
- Ensure the team meets BAL strategic drivers.
- Train staff on leasing techniques and resident service.
- Maximize property performance, including walking the grounds and inspecting apartments.
- Tour visitors and guests to showcase amenities, apartments, models, and community.
- Conduct regular performance appraisals and address employee relations or associate concerns.
- Maintain complete and accurate associate files and monitor satisfaction via periodic surveys.
- Conduct weekly meetings with leasing and maintenance staff.
- Develop and administer the community budget, evaluating unit prices against market and goals.
- Create an annual marketing plan and conduct monthly marketing reviews.
- Obtain bids for all contract services and oversee routine capital projects, coordinating with Construction Services as needed.
- Hold responsibility for 35% of leasing activities.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- BA/BS in business, sales, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Successful supervisory experience.
- 3+ years in a property management role (preferred).
- Ability to build, lead, and serve on teams.
- Strong marketing skills.
- Advanced mathematical skills and financial analysis.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Superior interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Strong time‑management and multi‑tasking ability.
- Knowledge of Yardi Voyager or similar property management software (preferred).
