Operations Manager
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall administration, organization, and execution of designated projects/contracts, ensuring that goals and/or objectives of the project/contract are accomplished, meeting customer and company expectations, within the project/contract prescribed timeframe and budget. The PM is the overall team lead for the project, responsible for policy decisions, decision‑making authority, and customer satisfaction. The PM has complete authority to make decisions on behalf of the company and shall have a minimum of 10 years in a successful project‑management role and fulfill the core competency of the position.
Responsibilities- Experience in management and execution of large, integrated system projects.
- Responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the project/contract agreement.
- Ability to work in a 24/7/365 environment.
- Represent the contractor during progress meetings, design review meetings, contract negotiations, and open‑item meetings.
- Serve as project focal point for coordinating communications with customers, Cube Root, employees, consultants, and/or subcontractors.
- Manage customer expectations on deliverables.
- Ensure quality assurance of the project.
- Ensure safety of the project.
- Think quickly and clearly to support project requirements.
- Monitor the performance of the project and direct the development of reports as required.
- Develop and monitor the project budget, costs and job estimates, schedule, and plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, risk assessment, contingency plans, and allocation of resources for each phase of the project.
- Manage contracts/project activity and status to ensure compliance with internal and external obligations.
- Develop reports and presentations for company, customer, and other constituents.
- Oversee development of daily, weekly, monthly and annual performance monitoring, including corrective action plans and invoicing and subcontract resolution.
- Oversee development and revision of operating procedures.
- Handle subcontractor agreements, billing, and contract compliance.
- Provide technical advice, direction, and assistance to project personnel.
- Oversee efforts of project subcontractors.
- Develop and mentor project staff for future professional growth.
- Oversee subcontractors in achieving contract goals per agreements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- B.S. or Engineering Degree.
- PE is preferred.
- Five (5) years or more of progressive supervisory and management experience.
- Ten (10) years of progressive direct experience can substitute for a B.S. degree.
- Understanding of the practical applications of engineering science and technology, applying principles, techniques, procedures, and methods.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills (MS Office Suite and Windows Operating Systems).
- Experience in education facilities preferred.
- Read, interpret, modify, or create project‑specific documents such as technical, operational, maintenance, and procedure documentation.
- Write technical reports and correspondence.
- Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations to clients and other employees.
- Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions.
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
- Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Work in the field at the site of ongoing projects, as needed to meet project or program goals.
- Pay range: $150,000–$200,000 annually.
