Job Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor who has a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional, secure setting. The salary for this position is $27.50 per hour.

This role involves directing, scheduling, and managing personnel in the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the facility’s building structures and systems.

• Assist in directing, scheduling, and managing personnel in maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the facility’s building structures and systems.
• Responsible for plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles, and grounds.
• Supervise and schedule work orders and projects assigned to the department, track completion, conduct daily inspections, and note deficiencies.
• Supervise maintenance staff and assigned inmates/residents in the performance of their duties; evaluate performance as prescribed by facility and company policy.
• Monitor completed work orders for workmanship, housekeeping, and compliance with building codes, blueprints, manuals, and other applicable procedures; direct correction of problems.
• Perform routine inspections of the facility for regulatory compliance, safety, maintenance, and related issues; take or direct corrective action.

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Four years of experience in general construction or plant/institutional maintenance; one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of building construction and operation of building systems preferred; experience with Microsoft Office applications required.
• Experience with an Enterprise Asset Management System is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Preferred experience with tracking systems and compliance inspections.
