Operations Manager

Job Summary

Oversee 24/7 plant operations ensuring all quality and regulatory standards are met. Align plant initiatives with safety, quality, productivity, and stewardship objectives. Lead through a culture of high trust, autonomy, and continuous improvement.

Main Position Responsibilities
  • Foster a team environment of strong communication, collaboration, and willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Provide leadership for employee relations through communication, coaching, training and development.
  • Drive overall plant operations covering finance, manufacturing, engineering, materials, quality assurance/control, HR, and information systems.
  • Assist in developing a culture of high trust, clear metrics, leading indicators, ownership and accountability.
  • Align objectives within each function to achieve business strategic goals including safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and people development.
  • Observe 24/7 daily operations to ensure facility performance meets business objectives in safety, quality, productivity, and people development.
  • Coordinate plant activities with the General Manager and departmental managers to achieve manufacturing objectives and accountability.
  • Ensure all regulatory compliance standards are met.
  • Resolve technical issues and remove roadblocks rapidly.
  • Lead a team of 20–30 employees, strategic partners, and suppliers.
Employee Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience with 5 years in operations leadership.
  • Experience in change management, process improvement and optimization.
  • Ability to build trust and grow self and others.
  • Effective communication at all levels – from shop floor to executive leadership.
  • Willingness to be accessible 24/7 and on holidays to support the facility.
  • High drive and commitment to meet success criteria.
  • Willingness to challenge status quo and think outside the box.
  • Accountable for self and others.
  • Ability to work under uncertain and dynamic conditions while providing stability to the team.
  • Roll‑up‑the‑sleeves attitude – willing to take on any task.
  • Strong ability to build trust and a strong team environment.
