Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will play a key part in translating the production plan into detailed, efficient schedules that maximize resource utilization and ensure alignment with established specifications and timelines. Each day, you will provide critical insights into production capacity and material availability to support seamless operations. You will also leverage your expertise by issuing manufacturing work orders that keep production moving with precision and consistency.

You will be mainly accountable for- Ensure safety‑first operations by actively supporting plant safety initiatives and embedding safety as the top priority in all planning and execution activities.
- Develop and execute production schedules by collaborating with capacity planning (Fort Smith Plant), plant leadership, SCM, and production teams, using SAP/BUS tools to create feasible schedules aligned with material availability.
- Coordinate order management and customer responsiveness by partnering with sales to provide status updates, expedite orders, and ensure on‑time delivery of motor and customer requirements.
- Strengthening supply chain and continuous improvement efforts by managing procurement activities, supporting supplier relationships, resolving order issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving cost savings and service improvements across scheduling and logistics functions.
- Bachelor's Degree OR Associates Degree OR High School Diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience in production planning, supply chain coordination, procurement, or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities with high attention to detail and a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
- Preferred qualifications: Proficiency in SAP/BUS systems and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Outlook, with strong system navigation and data analysis skills. Knowledge of bill of materials (BOM) and routings (especially in BUS systems) and APICS CPIM certification or active pursuit of certification.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
