MONDAY - FRIDAY

3:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Installs, maintains, and repairs slaughter machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.

• Repairs slaughter equipment.
• Welds stainless steel equipment.
• Takes care of hydraulic unit, vacuum units, paw transfer piping and pits and equipment in offal.
• Monitors hydraulic fluid level.
• Set up, tear down, make adjustments and rebuild equipment as necessary.
• Must be able to operate Powered Industrial Equipment to include but not limited to, a forklift, scissor lift, pallet jack etc.
• This is a safety sensitive position.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
