About you and this role
Dow is seeking a Production Activity Coordinator/Gatekeeper (AC/GK) for our facility in Ardmore, OK. As the AC/GK, you work with plant personnel and expertise centers to coordinate, prioritize, and schedule plant activities. In this role, you ensure that value‑added and complete service requests are generated. You will understand the plant/department strategy, budget, business objectives, value‑added criteria, and day‑to‑day operations. You will enable seamless integration between operations and service providers.
This role requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job‑related training and considerable on‑the‑job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. You will act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
- Provide Task List and operating the Plant Role utilization data and timing into the Operations Dashboard (OPD) for use in determining normal staffing.
- Ensure operational tasks are value added, clearly defined, scheduled and completed.
- Determine if procedures and plans for new service requests are aligned.
- Review work status with service providers and work originators.
- Coordinate work from functional support organizations to be performed by operations personnel.
- Act as plant liaison to functional support organizations for general activities and sharing of core plant personnel.
- Ensure appropriate operational resources are allocated to perform operational tasks and activities.
- Utilize, update, and adjust the OPD‑Task List to schedule plant activities that impact operations.
- Work with Turnaround team to ensure start‑up and shut‑down tasks align with plant operations activities.
- Participate in development/monitoring of the maintenance budget and apply status/forecast as an input to manage maintenance work in the facility.
- Collect and/or review process data for improvement purposes and corrective actions.
- Work with plant and maintenance resources to ensure plant specific compliance activities are scheduled and completed to maintain compliance.
- Participate in activity coordinator networks to improve effectiveness in role and leveraging of best practices, as available.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required. An associate's degree in Process Technology or related field preferred.
- At least 4 years of process operations, manufacturing, or other related experience required.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S.‑based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

- Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground. Must be able to use harnesses with a total weight capacity of 300lbs.
- Operational Planning & Scheduling:
Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and sequence plant activities using tools like OPD to ensure tasks are clearly defined, value‑added, and completed on time. - Cross‑Functional Coordination:
Strong collaboration skills to align operations, maintenance, turnaround teams, and functional support groups, ensuring seamless integration of work. - Process & Technical Knowledge:
Solid understanding of manufacturing/process operations, including procedures, shutdown/startup planning, and compliance requirements. - Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement:
Ability to review process data, monitor performance, and identify improvement opportunities or corrective actions. - Resource & Workload Management:
