Production Assistant-Procurement

Work Schedule:

10 - 12-hours.

 Starting Pay:

 Full or Part Time:
Full-time only

 Pay Range: $26.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate replenishment with Production
    Manager.

* Order production materials, repair parts, and operating supplies per company
    policies.

* Track incoming shipments, verify delivery schedules, and resolve
    discrepancies.

* Maintain ERP-based records of purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory.

* Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports.

* Communicate with vendors on order status, lead times, and quality concerns.

* Support production planning and administrative reporting.

* Assist with special events (safety luncheons, recognition programs, tours).

* Support safety culture by adhering to all safety requirements and attending
    meetings.
  
* Other duties assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* High School Diploma or GED.

* Experience using ERP or inventory management software such as Oracle, SAP, JD
    Edwards, or similar systems.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

* Strong organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

* Valid driver’s license: occasional travel required.

* Occasional weekend inventory cycle counts
  
* Occasional local travel in a personal or company vehicle is required.
  
* Occasional overnight travel may be required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  
* Purchasing or inventory control experience in manufacturing.
  
* Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

WORKING CONDITIONS

* Primary work performed in plant and production office.

* Normal

Hours:

7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; occasional weekend work.

* Must be physically capable of climbing stairs and sitting for prolonged
    periods.

* Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
