Location: Pryor
CNC Machinist
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate and perform basic setups on CNC lathe and mill machines in a production environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for keeping machines running efficiently, producing high-quality machined parts, and ensuring all work meets company standards for safety and precision.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC lathe and mill machines to produce precision parts for production
- Perform basic machine setups including selecting jaws, setting work, changing tools, touching off tools, loading programs, and adjusting tool offsets
- Review setup sheets to determine machining sequences, dimensions, and procedures
- Install and adjust chucks, fixtures, collets, bushings, tooling, and related machine components
- Load and unload materials using hoists, cranes, or manual lifting as required
- Enter and adjust machine control commands including feed, speed, coolant flow, and depth of cut
- Monitor machine operation to ensure proper function and quality output
- Measure and inspect first-run and in-process parts to verify accuracy and compliance with specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Detect and troubleshoot machining issues and communicate problems to supervisors or setup personnel
- Replace dull cutting tools and maintain proper machine operation
- Document production counts and job tracking information accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous CNC machining or machine operator experience required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Familiarity with G-code and M-code preferred
- Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Basic computer skills including data entry and machine interface systems
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shift
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and material handling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and coolant fluids
- Must be able to wear required PPE including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 6am – 2:30pm
Pay: $18+hr DOE
