Journeyman Machine Operator

Anchor Glass Container Corporation, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, is a leading North American manufacturer of premium glass containers, serving many iconic consumer packaging brands across the beer, beverage, spirits, and food industries.

• Must have a Journeyman Card.
• Swabs machines to apply lubricant.
• Make adjustments with computer and/or mechanical adjustments.
• Inspect product for specifications using gauges and hand tools.
• Change equipment on machine such as molds, blanks and rings.
• Complete required paperwork documenting operations and production.
• Use hand tools such as swabs, tongs, and wrenches.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Withstand extremely hot working conditions.
• Perform essential functions as outlined in the Physical Demands Analysis Form.
• Read and understand SOPs, TOPs, and record information on appropriate log sheets.
• Demonstrate effectiveness using the APS system.
• Perform work as directed by management until released.
• Be aware of Food Safety Policy, GMPs, HACCP Principles, and Food Safety Standards.
• Report problems with the food safety management system to the designated person(s).
• Initiate and record actions related to Food Safety, HACCP, or Food Defense as required.
• Remain fully conversant in HACCP Principles and Application.
• Maintain good attendance.

• Journeyman Card.
• Ability to work in high-temperature environments.
• Proficiency with mechanical adjustments and computer controls.
• Strong knowledge of gauges, hand tools, and safety systems.
• Good communication skills for reporting and documentation.
• Commitment to food safety standards and GMP compliance.
• Reliable attendance record.
