Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines for precision aerospace manufacturing. This role involves machining composite and metallic materials, including carbon fiber, fiberglass, aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and honeycomb materials.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on CNC setup experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines.
  • Prepare and load raw materials, cutting tools, cutters, and tool holders.
  • Set tool lengths, machine offsets, and work offsets.
  • Align parts and fixtures to establish accurate positioning.
  • Prove out CNC programs before beginning production runs.
  • Monitor machining operations to ensure consistent quality and accuracy.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, precision scales, and other measuring instruments.
  • Deburr and clean parts during machine cycles.
  • Verify completed parts meet dimensional specifications and quality requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of CNC machining experience.
  • Hands-on experience independently setting up and operating CNC equipment.
  • Knowledge of cutting tools, tool-length setup, work offsets, and machine setup procedures.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret dimensional tolerances.
  • Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, precision scales, and similar measuring equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, quality parts.
