The mission of Pawnee Nation College (PNC) is to meet the higher educational & cultural needs of the Pawnee Nation, other surrounding Indian Nations, & all who have the desire to engage in a lifetime of learning. PNC's VISTA project seeks to increase food sovereignty & increase the economic condition of individuals and families of the Pawnee Nation and neighboring tribes by empowering tribal communities to understand how to control and manage their own lands and resources.

Member Duties :
Conduct an analysis of current land use and potential land use of tribal and tribal member lands including workshops for current land use evaluations, development of nature trail management plan, and provide input to the development of a potential land use map based on land use potential characteristics. Develop training for students, PN Agriculture employees, and other stakeholders interested in land management possibilities such as agriculture, grazing, hunting and other.

Activities include develop training manuals and other training opportunities for stakeholders interested in land management options and provide support to stakeholders and land managers requesting assistance.
