The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will assist Primary Residential Treatment (PRT) clients in achieving optimal levels of wellness, self‑management, and functioning capability during their assigned 12‑hour shift (7:00am–7:00pm or 7:00pm–7:00am). The LPN will offer licensure‑level appropriate nursing skills to all PRT clients. All duties will be performed under the guidance of the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited LPN program and current, unrestricted Nursing License from the State of Oklahoma
- Current BLS for healthcare providers certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Mental Health or Substance Abuse (preferred)
- Experience administering medication orally and by intramuscular injection; reporting and recording vital signs
- Knowledge of human body structure, function, illnesses and diseases, and ability to communicate with nurses, patients, family members, and clinic staff
- Experience in observation, recording, and reporting patient information accurately and efficiently
- ACLS/PALS certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of and ability to apply principles of growth and development, providing age‑appropriate care to patients served
- Self‑motivated, high energy individual with ability to work with minimal supervision
- High level of personal integrity and ethics, maintaining confidentiality, problem‑solving skills, and ability to work in a team environment
- Physical capability to walk, sit, recuringly bend, lift, kneel, push, and pull, rarely over 50 pounds
- Commitment to at least 6 continuing education units per year
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to training conferences
- Professional attitude and adherence to professional standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol testing
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (may be required to drive GSA or Nation vehicles)
