RN, Registered Nurse, Vinita Senior Behavioral​/Nights

Overview

Registered Nurse I in the Renaissance Psychiatric Unit – Vinita Campus, Vinita, Oklahoma. Full-Time Nights 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, rotating weekends.

• Utilizes the nursing process to care for patients, assesses, organizes, and completes patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural and psychosocial factors.
• Documents steps of the nursing process using proper medical terminology and tracks progress toward goals.
• Facilitates patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and patient education resources suitable to patient age and cultural/psychosocial factors.
• Collaborates with other disciplines and supports unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities (evidenced by attendance at in-services, meeting unit education standards, and completing variance reports).
• Performs job duties with independent judgment on various alternatives, within the scope of review in final stages.
• Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise) and interacts with patients, internal and external customers, and other healthcare professionals; works with leaders at Director level or above as applicable.

• Minimum Education: Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing, and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom.
• Licensure/Certification: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License.
• Work Experience: 0 – 6 months related experience.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, clinical pathways; effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; ability to organize and prioritize work; attention to detail in examination of clinical and numerical data.

• Essential Functions and Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process, patient assessment and care planning, documentation, and collaboration with disciplines.
